Due to its direct roots to the Dragon Aspect Vaeranyrr, Balderon has long been referred to as the "Land of Fire ''. While various species reside in the nation, dragonkin remain the primary inhabitants. Presently not at war, Balderon is enjoying an economic boom and has been seen pouring funds into its growing military.

Ixsaur

While inherently practitioners of Ortasism, the inhabitants of Ixsaur have directed most of their worship towards the Wild Spirit Otexu. It is believed by the people that the nation is under the Wild Spirit's protection. Monthly sacrifices are conducted to honor Otexu by willing participants. While not presently at war, Ixsaur has refuted Shaokor's recent claim as a nation. The High Priests of Ixsaur maintain that while not previously inhabited by their people, the lands of Shaokor belong to the nation. Tensions have been rising as some see the newly formed nation as a slight toward Otexu. Whispers of war are presently flooding the nation.

Ovella

Ovella is a nation located in the northern central hemisphere of Vaal. 50 years ago Ovella succeeded Avellone citing ideological differences. Initially hoping to rejoin Avellone, Ovella led by Maixo Gorvenoth desired exemption from the Avellone's recent outlaw of gladiatorial combat. Suffering from frequent changes in leadership, many have begun to question Maixo's choice of a gladitory dictatorship. While still proud of their gladiator ways, many in Ovella have begun pushing for removal of the "Conquest of Leadership '' that sees high ranking military members clashing for rule in fights to the death. While still hoping to someday rejoin Avellone, Ovella remains at war with their mother nation so long as their practices remain criminal.

Avellone is a nation located in the northern central hemisphere of Vaal. Avellone has a long monarchial history seeing various families overthrowing one another. Presently, Avellone is undergoing a spiritual revitalization that has seen increased powers being granted to the church. 52 years ago Arch-Bishop Ession Whitelight decreed combat for entertainment immoral and thus had King Rensfall outlaw various forms of violence. Included in the decree was that of gladiatorial combat. Enraged by the decision, the people of northern Avellone seceded and formed the nation of Ovella. Arch-Bishop Whitelight has declared it the holy duty of all Sotriaists to aid Avellone in purging the violent Ovella from the world of Vaal. As head of the Church of Six, Arch-Bishop Withelight's decree has led many to pilgrimage to Avellone to aid in the civil war against Ovella.

Keelhaul

As a plutocracy, Keelhaul sees itself ruled by its wealthiest 2%. While the richest nation in terms of currency, the nation has some of the worst living conditions for its poor. With 46% of its population below the poverty line, Keelhaul has seen a huge uptick in crime, specifically piracy. With the wealthy desperate to maintain control, legislation has begun to pass seeking to increase the poor's quality of life. Recent legislation has seen an increase in vacation days and has raised the minimum wage by 12%.

Shdorei

Since, the two nations have fluctuated between times of peace and war. Presently at war with Enkai, Shdorei employs its army primarily consisting of ninja. Experts in arcane management, ninjas specialize in stealth warfare. This type of warfare has bestowed Shdorei the nickname the "Land of Shadows". Shdorei has recently seen a small percentage of its population migrate to Shodin seeking escape from the war.

Enkai

Since, the two nations have fluctuated between times of peace and war. Presently at war with Shdorei, Enkai employs its army primarily consisting of samurai. Employing an ancient crafting ceramony, samurai blades are often imbued with Vaalum filtered from the blood of their defeated enemies. Samurai live by a code of honor they prioritize all else. Standing by their code, Enkai is known as the "Land of Honor. Enkai has recently seen a small percentage of its population migrate to Shaokor seeking escape from the war.

Jotunfjord

Directly translating to Giant Ice in the ancient tongue, Jotunfjord is widely still a practitioner of the old ways. Worshiping the various Wild Spirits of Vaal, tribal leaders pay tribute to the spirits in exchange for great power. Over the course of history Jotunfjord has seen frequent civil warfare from clashing tribes. Although united as one nation, Jotunfjord sees vastly different governance depending on the controlling tribe in respective areas. With scarce resources readily available, many tribes cross the nations boarders to pillage resources. With most armies unwilling to traverse the dangerous mountains of Jotunfjord, much of the pillaging goes unpunished.

Ascal

Primarily home to Cal, Ascal has recently abandoned its loose Poietistic ties in favor of worshiping their newly created Machine God. Recently, the Machine God decreed that a large wall be built through Ascal for an upcoming battle. Though initially hesitant, the Cal embraced the decisions of their creation and constructed the Cutter, a massive steel wall spanning from the western to eastern borders of Ascal. Receiving the majority of its steel from Stalreikt, the two bordering nations share a close bond. With Ghorr's recent invasion of Stalreikt, it seems inevitable that the technologically superior Ascal will join their allies in conflict.

Ghorr is a nation located in the central hemisphere of Vaal. Once the nation of Zalkatorr, Ghorr saw its name change after an alleged deal between its reigning king and the human god of its namesake. Hundreds of years ago, Zalkatorr saw its nation ravaged with a deadly plague. With no end in sight, it is said that King Valtrey Orrbace beseeched the god of fear and death to end the nation's suffering. In exchange King Orrbace renamed the nation Ghorr and swore to worship him above all other deities. Recently, Ghorr has begun slowly invading the Stalreikt border. It is widely believed Ghorr is interested in Stalreikt's large possession of steel, seeking to advance its military power.

Khudar

A large strip of uninhabitable land dubbed the "Crystal Scar" is primarily located in Khudar. This wasteland was formed nearly a thousand years ago by the Dragon Aspect Aedigarr while battling Humanities Six. Ever the survivors, the inhabitants of Khudar have learned to adapt to the treacherous weather, desert, and wasteland they inhabit.

Loruhgos

Despite a long history of cooperation between major tribes, Loruhgos has elected not to unify into one society. Instead, each tribe elects a liaison that represents their interests. Loruhgos has only been known to raise arms when the nation as a whole is endangered from outsiders. Mostly cut off from the outside world, Loruhgos is presumed to be technologically inferior to that of its bordering nations.

Its arguable monopoly on steel has permitted it to determine the military power of other nations for nearly a thousand years. Recently, the nation of Ghorr has begun slowly invading Stalreikt. It is believed Ghorr's intention is to gain control over Stalreikt's valuable resources. Without a large military force of its own, Stalreikt has attempted to bring Ascal to its aid.

Wrynn

Nickname: The Land of Seeds

However, last year King Faelor Mooncloak resumed communications with the other nations of Vaal. While little is still known about this once closed off nation, rumors of civil turmoil have begun to spread across the world.

Shaokor

Geography: The land is predominantly uninhabitable volcanic mountains with a small area of fertile grasslands on the southern most island. The weather is usually hot and windy with violent thunderstorms frequently developing.

Established in the present year, Shaokor is the newest nation of Vaal located in the southwestern hemisphere. Colonizing Ixsaur land previously thought to be uninhabitable, Shaokor is composed of individuals from both Shdorei and Aizukai. Shaokor was formed by the political revolutionary Seong Leotus who amassed a large following due to his protests of the long Shdorei - Aizukai war. A powerful martial artist, Seong is rumored to have opened his third eye or "Trimati". The Trimati is said to manipulate the Vaalum in a creature, allowing the wielder to control the target's senses. The Trimati is said to bleed upon use, thus garnering Shaokor the nickname the "Land of Bleeding Eyes".
